These terms cover your use of Excolere. By using the service you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

What this service is

Excolere is a practice tool. You record a short spoken answer and receive automated feedback on your delivery and structure. It is free to use and requires no account.

What it is not

It is not professional advice of any kind. In particular, it is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and it is not a treatment for anxiety or any other condition. Public speaking anxiety can be significant, and if yours is affecting your life, please speak to a qualified professional. Nothing here is a substitute for that.

It is also not career, legal, or business advice. Coaching about an interview answer or a sales pitch is practice material, not a prediction of how any real conversation will go.

The coaching is generated by AI, and can be wrong

Your feedback is produced by automated speech recognition and a large language model. Transcription can mishear you, particularly with accents, background noise, or specialist vocabulary, and the resulting scores and comments can be inaccurate, inconsistent between attempts, or simply mistaken. Treat every score as one opinion from a machine, not as an assessment of your ability. Use your own judgment before acting on anything it tells you.

Acceptable use

When you use Excolere, you agree:

To record only your own voice. Do not record anyone else without their knowledge and consent. Recording other people without consent is illegal in many places, and it is your responsibility, not ours.
Not to upload unlawful content, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.
Not to share confidential information you are not free to disclose. Your speech is sent to third-party AI providers to be processed, as described in the privacy policy.
Not to attempt to disrupt the service, or to use it in a way that places an unreasonable load on it.
That you are an adult. The service is not directed at children.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as it is, without any guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, including deleting stored results, at any time and without notice. Because practice is anonymous and results are kept only on this service, do not rely on it as a record of anything you need to keep.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Excolere is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it. That includes decisions you make based on the coaching, and the outcome of any interview, presentation, or other real situation you practised for.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights the law gives you that these terms cannot override.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator of Excolere is established. If you use the service as a consumer elsewhere, you may also have the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your own country.

Changes to these terms

If we make meaningful changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
